The Paris Metro is amazing, you can get anywhere fast. For such a big city with so much to see, it is really accessible by foot between Metro stops.

We took the Eurostar train to Paris, what a civilized way to travel! The Chunnel is just under 20 minutes which is shorter than I expected. How dignified it is to go to Paris for wine and cheese!

On Thursday we saw Kensington Palace in the Kensington Gardens, which is connected to Hyde park, which is in full bloom (3 weeks ahead of Halifax I would say… sigh…)

We landed at Gatwick in the morning and denied ourselves sleep in order to get as much as we could while in London for 2 days. Step one in any new town — take the bus tour and mark down all the spots you want to got spend time at.
