How to conduct snow removal

The nature of snow removal is different depending on time of day.

After supper, but before 9pm, a social atmosphere is welcome among neighbours. We are all in this together and have nowhere to be. We are “earning” our après shovelling hot chocolate beer.

All are welcome. Differences are forgotten. This is the essence of community, and generally a convivial gathering every time.

However.

The only mode of “help” when shovelling before work in the morning is silently working on a different area. No eye contact. No words. Not entering anyone’s shovel radius.
